Waking up to another day
means many different things
where attitudes have been programmed
expecting what it brings

most people want the day to be
a good one all the while
living a comfortable calm
wearing a happy smile

but life is not always so good
there’s hardships on the way
which will always follow good times
that never come to stay

and having some great attitude
makes living life in touch
from realities long endured
with character as such

for those who have the Christ of hope
dwelling inside of them
they have the grace to long endure
which glorifies their Friend

God’s holy word coupled with faith
shall guide a person through
in times when life is the hardest
its light is there for you

with God’s Spirit the victory lies
no day can ever come
where hopelessness of one’s despair
will change what God had done
